Last week I made the Crispy Chow Mein Noodle Cake with Shiitake and Bok Choy Topping recipe(s) from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok.
Not a crowd pleaser, but fine. 3 stars ★★★☆☆
Week six saw drywall and the first coat of mud.
A few weeks ago I made the Yakisoba (Japanese Fried Noodles) recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.
We enjoyed this one. I think it had enough going on for Megan to like it, too. She definitely helped eat the leftovers. 4 stars ★★★★☆
Drywall went up today, and while we were out of town trim went on the window exteriors and the stairs were re-worked.
This past week saw new windows, a whole house dehumidifier, floor leveling, and inspections.
I’m taking end-of-week photos of each room now instead of the whole basement.
