With tomorrow’s race-time forecast of 63°F, I’m adjusting my target time for the Winship 5k from 23:31 to 23:40.
Given the route’s terrain, I plan to push the pace on the first mile downhill, push through the uphill second mile, and then hang on for the flattish last mile (and change).
I’ve been making adjustments to my nutrition over the past few weeks. I’m hopeful that this approach will help me trim up a bit while continuing to support my running and strength training.

The Guinness World Record of 8 hours, 26 minutes and 53 seconds for the 100 x 1 mile mixed relay was officially confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records.

8hr 26min 53sec/100 mi = 506.8833min/100mi = 5.06min/mi = 5:04min/mi??
That's a lot of fast people!
