Yesterday I raced the Atlanta Track Club Jerome Scales Southside 5 Miler in College Park, GA. This was the target race for my training cycle.
With temperatures of 62°F, the 38:51 finish time is a VDOT score of 41.3, my highest since 2024’s 3,000m track race.
Yesterday I raced the Turkey Strut 5k in Winston-Salem, NC. My goal was to negatively split the race, which I did.
I ran a 23:44, which is a VDOT score of 40.7, making it my best race since August’s Decatur DeKalb 4 Miler.
I raced the Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Cross Country 5k on Wednesday. It was the first 5k in years that I raced by feel rather than a target pace, but I think that fit the course well.
I raced the Winship 5k last Saturday. It was tough, and I was slower than I wanted to be.
