Last week I made the Pork and Shrimp Dumplings recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.
I thought these dumplings were very good. The steaming worked very well, and the post-steam panfry was very easy and delicious also. 4 stars ★★★★☆

Last week I made the Easy Tortilla “Jian Bing” recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.
The flavors were familiar to my US breakfast palate, but with a note of something unfamiliar, I think from the hoisin. Very good, 4 stars ★★★★☆
Last week I made J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s Panfried “Garlic Knot” Pancakes from his The Wok cookbook.
They were very good. By far the best of these pancake recipes. 5 stars, will make again ★★★★★
Last week I made the Cheesy Scallion Pancakes recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.
The end result was good, but I didn’t particularly care for the cheese addition. 3 stars ★★★☆☆
This week I made the Chinese-Style Scallion Pancakes recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.
More work than the Korean-style batter pancakes, and I don’t know when I would make them again, but tasty. 4 stars ★★★★☆
