  • Georgia 4000: Georgia’s Highpoint Challenge

North Georgia boasts 32 mountain peaks that are 4,000 feet or higher. Climb all 32 of them and you qualify as a Georgia 4000er

A friend is posting pics of summiting Colorado 14ers on Strava. I wondered if there was a tallest summits in Georgia challenge, and there is! Seems fun.

But all that is true only if Google AI Overviews are good. And they are very, very bad.

Shared this with my son. Almost every thing he reports to have “looked up on the internet” turns out to have been just the Google AI overview.

Interesting and scary to see what’s happening in the US happen first in the Philippines. Maria has had quite a life fighting for democracy in her home country.

  • Nua Kem (Thai-Style Beef Jerky)

This past week I made the Nua Kem (Thai-Style Beef Jerky) recipe J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.

It was good, but only 3 stars ★★★☆☆ for now. I’d like to try again with thicker slices to try and get a “juicer” than beef jerky result that Kenji describes.
