Basement Project End of Week 14

No major differences over last week, but we got our final inspections done, the painter came for final touch-ups, and the laundry shelf got finished.

No major differences over last week, but we got our final inspections done, the painter came for final touch-ups, and the laundry shelf got finished.

A bit of a hiccup though: last weekend I did laundry and the laundry drain hose was not in the drain pipe for some reason, so all of the flooring in the laundry room has been pulled up to get everything dried out. It’s supposed to get reinstalled this week.

With no major differences, doing all the pictures of all the rooms seems unnecessary. Here are the highlights.

A photo of a two-toned wall. A ventilation grille is on the darker tone and has been painted the same color to match.
The painter even painted the HVAC grilles to match our “stripe.”
A photo of a butcher-block counter-height shelf. The wood has a richness from the finishing coat.
The finished laundry shelf/bench/counter.
A photo of the bare concrete floor of the laundry room where flooring used to be. A single plank of flooring is still down towards the door of the room.
The un-floored laundry room. Things are dried out now.
