Machine learning is amazing if:
- The problem is too hard to write a rule-based system for or the requirements change sufficiently quickly that it isn't worth writing such a thing and,
- The value of a correct answer is much higher than the cost of an incorrect answer.

My book group is finally meeting next week to discuss, and it’s been months since I had finished it, so re-reading.
A few weeks ago I made J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s Simmered Kabocha Squash (Kabocha No Nimono) from The Wok.
Every time I’ve made kabocha squash, it has come out chalky and bland, without the natural sweetness I understand it’s supposed to have. This time was no different. 1 star ★☆☆☆☆
