  • Contentious vote approves $1.1B plan to overhaul Fulton jail

    1.1 billion dollars for a jail. Imagine if that amount of money went towards things that would actually reduce the inmate population like housing, food security, and access to care and services.

  • Sweet and Spicy Korean Chile Sauce

    In addition to the Sweet Soy-Ginger Glaze, I also made Kenji’s Sweet and Spicy Korean Chile Sauce for the Extra-Crispy Korean Fried Chicken.

    It was good, but you have to like gochujang. Not quite the crowd-pleaser the soy-ginger glaze was.

    This was our favorite of the two sauces for the Korean fried chicken. What isn’t to like?

    Wednesday I made the Extra-Crispy Korean Fried Chicken recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s The Wok cookbook.

    I thought the chicken was excellent. 5 stars ★★★★★ (though I think Megan would ding it a star for the fact that it is fried)
