Spreading pine straw like salt bae
This is the time of year when the fruits of the exotic Nandina domestica shrub are particularly noticeable and reminders go out from conservation groups to remove the fruits (and even the shrubs) to protect birds.
I think I have a few of these growing in yet-to-be-tackled parts of our yard. Looks like I should go ahead and remove them ahead of schedule.
I’d love to read more about your wildlife container pond. I’ve been thinking lately about ways to add a low-maintenance wildlife water source to our yard and that sounds promising.
