When we bought this house 5 years ago, we did it with the intention of finishing the basement. That is currently underway. Here’s what has happened so far.
Two things about owning a home that no one told me:
The filters in the hood vent over the range? They need to be cleaned somewhat regularly. Ours pop out and go in the dishwasher.
The hot water tank has a rod in it that helps delay the rusting of the tank. It’s called an anode rod and should be replaced every 3 to 5 years. Doing so extends the life of the tank.
