It still amazes me that we’ve basically let ourselves be manipulated into buying, and even defending, that THIS is what “freedom” looks like. #cardependency

Cleared out our nandina domestica today. It didn’t look like much, but it was apparent that someone had previously cut these back so the root systems were much larger than the foliage volume would indicate.

I filled 2 construction garbage bags but split it among four bags because it was so heavy.

[This article] lays out exactly how to do database changes, codebase changes, and feature flag deployment strategies step by step with code examples in order to practice continuous deployment without downtime or breaking anything.

    Oooh saving this for later

Similarly, the two best days in a web developer’s life are: 1) the day they scaffold a new app with the latest and greatest, and 2) the day they rewrite it.

I love this. Though, I’d add that probably better than rewriting an app is the day we get to sunset it.

  • Movies in Concert

Witness iconic movies displayed on a 40-ft screen in Symphony Hall while the Atlanta Symphony performs the film score live on stage!

Bought tickets to The Princess Bride in Concert. This is not the type of thing we usually do, but this is one of my favorite movies. I think it will be fun.
