Finished Nemesis Games. I continue to think the writing is a bit clumsy: descriptions that sound good, but I’m unable to visualize, for example. The plot is good, though. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.
Started Nemesis Games by James S.A. Corey. It’s the fifth in The Expanse series.

Finished “The Butcher of Anderson Station.” It was good backstory on Fred Johnson. The tv series had some on the Anderson Station incident, but the conversation between Johnson and Dawes was new for me.

Started “The Butcher of Anderson Station” by James S.A. Corey. It’s the first published short story in The Expanse series and takes place before Leviathan Wakes.

Finished Cibola Burn. Overall I liked it, but it slowed for me about three-quarters of the way through as the “what else could go wrong” kept happening.
Murtry is an intense character and much of the book had a sense of dread because of him.
A big theme seemed to be the inevitability of catastrophe; something that can’t be avoided, only handled.
