The legality of Mike Brown’s killing was irrelevant. If that was legal, I knew it shouldn't be.
The revelation was clear as day. I couldn't un-see it, and I suddenly saw the effects of systematic oppression of black people everywhere.
The story and imagery that emerged, the differences between the stories from the people there vs the national news media. It was obvious.
