The real question: will I still be supporting this browser (version) in a year? If so, it doesn't matter how “modern” it is now.
Now that I understand it, I prefer IE10's hover handling over mobile Safari.
I must say, I've had only a minor problem with IE10, and it had to do with how it handles hover events. Everything else: no problems.
